Biography

William R. Miller, M.D. received his medical degree and completed training in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed a fellowship in adult Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center program, prior to spending a third year in basic science research as a part of the Advanced Academic Track. His current research interests involve unraveling the multilayered cell membrane defense networks of Gram-positive pathogens using Enterococci as model organisms, as well as characterizing the molecular mechanisms of resistance and clinical impact of multidrug resistant Gram-negative bacteria.
